The most common step is to plug into your computer using a USB cable.

On Windows: As Windows treats Android phone like your digital camera thus, you can check the actual files in Windows Explorer. Also, you can use another program like Windows 8 Photo Viewer app. 

On OS X: For those having Mac, you need Google’s free Android File Transfer app to transfer photos off your Android phone. After installing this app, it will automatically get open when you attach Android phone or tablet to your computer. Your photos will be in one of two areas: the Pictures folder or the DCIM folder.

Furthermore, you can email photos from your Android phone. For this, open the Gallery app and navigate to the album containing the photo you want to share. After that, tap the three dots in the upper right corner as well as tap Select Item from the menu that appears.
